"Two more school zone speed cameras will become operational at 6 a.m. Monday. The cameras will be located in the 3900-block of Hollins Ferry Road near Lansdowne High School, and in the 200-block of East Padonia Road near Dulaney High School. Under state law, speeders caught traveling more than 12 m.p.h. above the speed limit on these cameras will only receive warnings for the next 30 days.  Beginning July 21, violators will be subject to a $40 fine. This brings the total number of speed cameras in Baltimore County that are operational to four.  Since early May, two other cameras have been snapping pictures.  They are located near the Arbutus Middle School and the Dundalk Middle School/Elementary School. The county is expected to place cameras at 11 other locations. Baltimore County Police Lt. Rob McCullough told WBAL News that he expects more cameras to go online in time for the start of the new school year at the end of August.  However, he did not know how many  more cameras will become operational. Under state law, the cameras can only snap pictures between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. weekdays, but they do operate year round. McCullough said that schools are used in the summer for summer school and youth sports, and he notes there is a lot of pedestrian traffic around schools during the summer."
