I have a feeling we won't see another storm like the two we had in the last week in our lifetime. We now need to re-focus our efforts in making sure that all of the claims received as a result of the snow storm are adjusted efficiently and expediently. The reason you purchased insurance was for just this type of major catastrophe.
We are pleading with all of our clients to take extra care when driving over the next several weeks. Snow drifts in the country and icy roads in the city will continue to cause accidents. Several years ago there was a fatal accident within walking distance of my home when two young people hit a snow drift and swerved into an oncoming truck. This was an unnecessary loss of life by an inexperienced driver.
On the home front, please be aware that sidewalks will be slippery as melting and freezing continues on a nightly basis. Tree limbs will continue to fall, and power will be intermittent in a number of places. Now is the time to prepare to take care of yourself and your loved ones. Take the shoveling duties lightly. There is no reason to rush through the chore of moving snow as it looks like it may be around for awhile. Your health is more important than any snow pile.
In closing - may you experience the best for the rest of the winter and learn a valuable lesson from this "History in the Making" An old Greek Proverb states - “One minute of patience, ten years of peace”
